THE NOTRE DAME ROCKETRY TEAM

The rocketry team has been one of my largest commitments while at school. We spend each year designing a high-powered rocket for the NASA Student Launch Initiative (SLI). I have spent my first two years on the vehicle design team, which designs and builds the airframe. This year, I am broadening my horizons and joining the payload design team. This years' payload competition is a planetary lander simulator. It has to jettison from the launch vehicle during descent, land upright, self-level, take a photo, and send it remotely to the team. I am excited to work on the mechanical aspects of this project.
